Fredrick Asumanu is a Director of Financial Inclusion Forum Africa, and a seasoned expert in banking and telecommunication regulation with over 15 years of experience. He currently heads the Market Regulations Unit of the National Communications Authority. Prior to this he worked with MTN Ghana and now Universal Merchant Bank. He’s CEO of Community Cashpool Enterprises, a community-based microfinance company. Frederick has been a member and Rapporteur at the International Telecom Union,Geneva , focusing on Economics and Tariffs Policy issues relating to Telecommunications for the past 7 years. He is passionate about financial Inclusion and believe the growing trend in the development of next generation technology will bridge the gap between the bank and unbanked.
He holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Finance and Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Methodist University College Ghana; a Diploma in Telecommunications Policy and Regulations; and an Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
